To those unfamiliar, pogoing is hopping a dual suspension bike like a pogo stick.
The best way to begin is to start on level ground, pavement works well. Begin by balancing on the bike without moving. Once you have your center of gravity pretty well figured out, pull in both brakes and put all of your weight onto the pedals (which should be fairly even rather than up on one side and down on the other). With both brakes still applied, put your weight down on the suspension then yank up on the bars and unweight the pedals (by jumping slightly) just as the suspension rebounds. Timing is critical, but once you catch it, the bike will follow you into the jump and best of all is that when it lands the suspension again compresses, starting the process over again.

Check your rebound too, if you have your rebound set super slow you won't be able to do it at all. Open your rebound back up and you can bounce to kingdom come although I'm not really sure why you'd want to waste the energy.
