Anyone ride with a GPS on their bike? I recently got a Garmin E-trex Vista HCX and am looking at mounting it on my bike. Just wondering about mounting options or should I just stick it in my pack?

Hey, I've been looking for exactly that type of mount.
I would be very curious to hear how it worked for you. That looks like it would fit the needs of a cyclist perfectly though.

I just bought a Garmin Edge 305. So far, I love it. That looks pretty sweet for MTB'n. If all i was using it for was the MTB, I'd definately get that one. I really like that you can race a ghost rider. One question do you feel it would be better in color? or does that not really make a difference?

After using this for a couple months, here's my take:
Color means nothing. I'd like the mapping feature of the 705, but not for the price. The information is VERY useful to me, although I'm not sure how much use it would be to someone who doesn't have a background in exercise physiology. It's been great for tracking my mileage for the year and comparing my progress on rides (although I'm still under 200 miles for the season, which is utterly disgusting to me.)
The only reason I'd go with a 705 would be for in the future when I add a power meter to my road bike. God, I'm turning into such a road weenie. Next thing you know I'll be wearing bibs and road shoes....
...crap, I already do!
