Hi all, my first post!! I'm a newcomers in the world of DH (made only a few rides), and I'm looking for someone that could tell me (or show me where I can find a guide about it) how i should set up my (not so good bike) and also I'm looking for some suggestion about what to buy. That because at the moment I don't have the money to buy a new entire bike and my idea is to buy step by step all the parts to improve my actual bike a steel-frame dual (mechanical) suspended. Thanks in advance to all the replyiers

Hey man, welcome to the boards.
Tell us a little bit more about your bike, what kind of suspension, frame etc. I could probably help point you in the right direction.

Hello and welcome!
As a general rule, down-hill bikes are set up with oversized components trading light-weight/ easy pedaling for stability and big hit capabilities.
If your suspension is adjustable, set it up on the stiffer side of the spectrum, starting with the preload adjustment, followed by the compression dial.
Your handle bars should have a rise of about 20 degrees.. Also disc brakes offer surperior modulation to rim based V's.
