I've tried most everything I can think of when doing a long ride. Bannanas can get messy if you crash, power bars are just plain wrong, and gel packs remind me too much of snot.
Is there anything out there that can be stuffed in a camel bak that is tasty and safe to transport?

Or the ever popular flattened PB&J (in a baggie in case of said crash).. Trail mix works well despite the obvious pun and be sure to have a zip-lock for that one. I've also carried along everything from dry cereal (Cheerios) to box of raisens

I've not tried a flattened pb&j - but I'm going to this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.
Ahhh, good ol trail mix - I did leave that off my list didn't I? That's one that I have had success with.

I hate power bars, but Clif bars are great.
